You are awake and aware, focusing your attention precisely on what you want and do exactly what you have planned to do to get it. Nothing can disturb or discomfort you. You are in the zone of choice making and action-taking. This is the perfect moment. You are not tired or in a hurry, and have plenty of time to make up your mind. You know what you want and can make it happen.

Let’s be honest; such an ideal situation is rare. Most of the time, we have to make several choices at once or at a hurried pace, with zero time to reflect or test the outcome. Challenges keep coming, each choice opens for new choices. We are doing our best to put out the fire and spot the accidents before they happen. Soon another day will be gone.

A caricature of modern life, I know, but pretty close to reality. Nobody likes to feel out of control for too long. So, we learned to formulate what we wanted and produce a plan of how to achieve it. The more the achievement world dominated the fulfillment world in our lives, the more having a plan became important to us. Finding out what we wanted has become secondary to making what we wanted achievable.

Focus on what you want

Attention is all we can control mentally. This includes level of consciousness…
